Peter Kalani Suiaunoa grew up in Hilo, Hawaii and started coaching in 2022, because “I love to share my passion of volleyball to people who love it just as much as I do” Peter Kalani has experience and excels at coaching middle school, and high school level athletes. Players describe his coaching style as energetic, tough and encouraging. Peter Kalani believes to be successful, a team must have a great relationship with one another and he strives to instill this in his athletes by prioritizing team bonding and nurturing a team-focused mindset. Peter Kalani chose to work at SoCal Volleyball Club because he wants to continue his coaching career while he is playing for Coach Mark Smith at Palomar College, he loved SoCal once meeting the coaching staff and he felt like it was a tight knit community which he values highly
When not coaching you’ll find Peter Kalani playing indoor and outdoor volleyball, and going to the beach.
