Quinn Burton grew up in San Marcos, CA and started coaching in 2017, because of all the ways he loves volleyball–coaching, playing, and officiating. Quinn has officiated every level of volleyball from beginners to NCAA women’s matches. He loves to be in the gym as it gives him a sense of freedom and an outlet to de-stress. Quinn has experience and excels at coaching middle school and high school level athletes. Players describe his coaching style as challenging and fun. He understands that all players will make mistakes and he must instill the mindset of never giving up even through adversity. Quinn believes to be successful, a team must be fully committed to each other, the club, and themselves. Each athlete is part of something amazing, and the team becomes stronger the more bought in each person is. Quinn chose to work at SoCal Volleyball Club as he has coached here in previous years, and is good friends with other coaches and staff members at the club. Quinn believes that SoCal a great place for him and his players to be.

Notable coaching achievements include assisting the Varsity Sage Creek Boys Volleyball Team under David Savage where they ended the season as Open Division CIF Finals runner-ups.

When not coaching you’ll find Quinn play Magic: the Gathering with his friends and spending time with his girlfriend who teaches math at a local highschool. They enjoy walks and attending shows and concerts.
