Charley Walsh grew up in San Marcos and started coaching in 2022, because “I had a truly amazing experience playing volleyball, and wanted a way to continue pursuing my passion for the sport. I also really enjoy working with others, so coaching seemed like a perfect fit!” Charley has experience and excels at coaching middle school, high school level athletes. Players describe her coaching style as encouraging and constructive. Charley believes to be successful, a team must hold confidence within themselves and each other and she strives to instill this in her athletes. Charley chose to work at SoCal Volleyball Club because the supportive community and kindness that Socal provides made a large impact on her life, and she would like to give back in a similar way.
When not coaching you’ll find Charley reading, writing, sketching, and exploring. She has a great passion for classical literature and mythology, she likes to spend much of her free time exploring these passions through reading, visiting museums, and studying art. She also loves volleyball, obviously, as well as hiking and running.
