Hi SoCaliens! At SoCal, we’re always trying to find ways to participate in our local community — we’re kinda big on that butterfly effect thing (you know, the notion that small localized actions in a complex system can have large effects elsewhere). So here’s an excellent opportunity to make an impact.
One of our members, Jason Werbelow (Dad of Aija on 17-Mark), is the Director of a special needs baseball program in North County called “Champions.” He is always on the lookout for teenagers to volunteer their time to be “buddies” for his athletes. This is a great way to connect with new people, help a fantastic cause, get service hours, and help your community.
