This Week at SoCal | Girls 10-14U Travel Tryouts this weekend | What to expect, Travel vs Local, and 2023 coaching staff!

The Travel Program is for dedicated intermediate to advanced players. Travel teams are our most competitive teams with the greatest time and travel commitment. Teams are formed based on player tryouts. Tryouts are Saturday and Sunday, so athletes should attend both days. If you can’t make tryouts this weekend, still register online and email us at [email protected] to schedule a makeup evaluation.

After you get your team assignment, Signing Day is Tuesday, October 4th, when team registration opens online, and uniform fittings will be in the afternoon at the SoCal Athletics gym.

Then 10-14U team practices begin the week of October 29th!

The JG Performance Fitness Sports Performance Program is geared toward beginner to advanced athletes looking to increase strength, speed, power, jump ability, explosiveness, and flexibility. Our experienced staff will focus on sound functional movement patterns and injury prevention. Holiday Schedule on Sep 05, 2022: Labor Day (No training/office closed)

The SoCal Volleyball Club gym and offices will be closed for the holiday on Sep 05, 2022.

During this time, there are no team practices, camps, clinics, or open gyms. Our member support team will not be available to answer questions, but our on-call team will be standing by if any serious issues arise (email: [email protected] or call/text: ‪(760) 515-3741‬).

 This closure does not affect scheduled tournaments or the ability to book programs online.

Indoor teams for girls!

Girls Fall Ball Program

For girls in 4th-12th grade, this is an excellent alternative to your school team. All experience levels are welcome!

Fall Ball is approximately ten weeks (Monday, August 29th to mid-October) and is comprised of our Regional Fall-Series and Fall Local Cali teams. Regional Fall-Series Teams train two days per week and have tournaments in Rancho Bernardo. The Fall Local Cali Team includes one training session on Sunday evening with an optional add-on tournament. Watch a full overview of our girls teams here.

Our experienced staff will form Regional Fall-Series and Local Cali rosters at player evaluations on August 21st. Evaluations are fun, low-stress events where players run through volleyball drills to highlight their playing ability. Online RSVP is required, and space is limited. If you can’t make August 21st, still RSVP online, so we know you’re interested in playing this season.

Local Beach Team Fall Practices: August 15 to October 7, Tues/Thurs, 4:00-5:30 pm
Local Beach Tournament: Saturday, August 27 (8:00 am – 1:00 pm)
Grades: 6-12
Prerequisites: Two intro seasons or one year on an indoor team.
Fall Beach Tuition: Full Season (2 days/week) $350 (payment plans available); $30/drop-in (doesn’t include tournament)
