Looking for a place to grow your volleyball skills and be part of a supportive team? SoCal Volleyball Club invites players ages 8-18 to try out for our Local Program’s 2024-2025 Volleyball Tryouts. Whether you’re aiming for friendly competitive play or focused skill-building, this is your chance to find a spot that’s right for you. Tryouts will take place on Saturday and Sunday, November 2-3, 2024 at our gym in San Marcos. With limited space, be sure to RSVP and secure your spot today!
2024-2025 Local Team Tryout Schedule
Please attend both tryout days for your age group for a full evaluation. After tryouts, players will be invited to join either a Local Team or the Cali Program based on their performance and skill level.

What to Expect at Tryouts
- Comprehensive Evaluation: Our coaches will assess your skills across all aspects of the game, including serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking, and overall game play. Each player’s performance will help determine whether they’ll be invited to join a Local Team or the Cali Program.
- Positive and Encouraging Environment: At SoCal, our motto is “Be kind,” and we carry that spirit through everything we do. Tryouts are designed to be both challenging and supportive, ensuring that each athlete feels welcomed and valued.
- Opportunity for Every Skill Level: Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to volleyball, we encourage you to come out and give it your all. Players of all levels will be considered for placement in either a Local Team or the Cali Program, ensuring everyone finds their perfect fit.
What Happens After Tryouts?
After tryouts, players will receive an invitation to join either a Local Team or the Cali Program based on their evaluation. Local Teams offer a more competitive season with local tournaments, while the Cali Program is a flexible, skill-building option perfect for those who want to focus on development without the commitment of a full season.
You’ll receive communication shortly after tryouts with your placement and next steps to officially join the SoCal Volleyball community.
