SoCal Coach Jen Monson (13-Jen) lived in Slovakia for a year, working with a sports ministry organization and playing professional volleyball. Her friend back in Slovakia, Cirkev Bratská, is now directly helping Ukrainians with shelter and humanitarian aid.

Cirkev is working with people like Angelina. Angelina fled her home in Ukraine in a small car with her two teenage children, leaving her oldest son to stay and fight. Angelina now risks her life by driving a van back and forth from Slovakia to her village, over 8-hours each way (see map below). She delivers humanitarian aid each trip and then carries fellow refugees from Kostipil, Ukraine, to Slovakia.

Each of Angelina’s trips costs approximately $300 (USD) roundtrip.
Humanitarian aid delivered each trip is approximately $1,500 (USD).
There is also a church in Michalovce, Slovakia, that needs financial support renting a flat for Angelina. This apartment will also shelter another Ukrainian woman, Julia, and her daughter Emilia.

To directly support these women and others like them, please donate here.

By donating through this SoCal Volleyball Club fundraising campaign, your donation is 100% tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law and goes directly into the hands of the heroes helping on the front lines.🇺🇦
