Tanner has more than 30 years of playing and coaching experience. He is currently the head varsity coach at Vista High School. His players would describe Tanner’s coaching style as fun but tough. He takes pride in his ability to regroup the team during times of stress, he brings the perfect balance of fun, calm and intensity. He makes his players work hard! Tanner has been with SoCal for over ten years. According to Tanners fellow SoCal coaches, he is one of SoCals most committed, hard-working and loyal staff members. He is inspired by his two daughters (who also share in his love for volleyball) to set an example that he wants them to follow.
