Day Three of the Tournament

Once again, the team continued to play better than the day before and beat Central Ohio in three in the first match. Much more personality shown on the court today and the girls were much more creative in their play. The team then met Epic and lost in three in a game three that could have gone 15-13 either way. We had the two balls that we wanted to swing at in the end but just didn't put them away. Good match.

Day Two of the Tournament

Much better day but did not win a match. The team played much better today and could have won a match or two. The girls were more comfortable and played aggressively, more confidently and with good spirit and humor. We are taking them to the strip to walk around tonight for Melissa's birthday. Should be fun.

The pools at the Las Vegas Classic are really good and our was no exception. We didn't quite play to our potential but well enough to qualify for the top bracket on Day 2. A good lesson for the girls to recognize that when we get into multi-day tournaments, the focus has to be on qualifying and every point...win or lose...can mean the difference between between qualifying in the upper division or lower divisions.
