Local Program - June/July/Soiree FAQ's

Below are some FAQ's regarding the end of the season for Local Program Players.

Please let us know if you have any other questions about the program.

When does our Season End?

The Local Program runs through the end of June, with practices and clinics each week at the regularly scheduled time, and an end of the year tournament, the "Anaheim Summer Soiree" from July 2nd-5th.

We realize that there is a HUGE lapse in programming between the end of May and the first opportunity to play again for Summer, which is the 2nd week of July.  We want to give the teams an additional month of practice, and the opportunity to attend a large season ending tournament.

What is the Summer Soiree?

The Soiree is a great 4 day tournament in Anaheim, put on by the Southern California Volleyball Assocation, The American Sports Center, and Disney! The dates of the tournament are July 2nd-5th.  We would like ALL of our local teams to participate in the tournament, and think it will be a GREAT opportunity for the kids to see some higher level volleyball, get lots of playing time and spend time together at Disneyland, since every team gets 5 twilight tickets for tournament closing ceremonies and parade on Monday, July 5th.

There is an entire page devoted to the Soiree, so click HERE for more tournament and hotel information.

Do we have to go to the Summer Soiree?

No.  But we think it would be a great experience for you!  Either way, your team will practice through the month of June.

What if I can only go part of the time?

No problem, as long as the coach and team knows they'll have a complete roster for each day of play.

What if my team isn't going, but I want to?

We will combine like aged players, if teams decide not to go.  We will send as many teams as we have players to fill them.

How much does the tournament cost?

The month of June is the normal monthly fee of $150, and includes the cost of the tournament.
