SoCal Welcomes Coach Todd O'Malley

SoCal Volleyball Club would like to welcome Coach Todd O’Malley to the staff. We are thrilled here at SoCal to have such an experienced and valuable addition to the coaching staff.

Todd’s passion is volleyball. Over the last 25 years, he has opened and successfully run numerous girls volleyball clubs, including, Premier Volleyball Club (Murrieta), Formula 1 VBC (Pasadena), Ichiban VBC (Long Beach), South Coast Volleyball Club (Irvine, CA), and 801 Volleyball Club (Highland, UT), and has a tremendous respect and understanding for female athletes.

During the off season, Todd has coached at Palomar College, Varsity teams at Lakeside H.S., Murrieta Mesa, Murrieta Valley H.S., Vista Murrieta H.S., Linfield Christian H.S., Mission Hills H.S. (Boys) and with Gold Medalist Pat Powers VB Clinics. Todd is currently in his 3rd year as the Assistant Coach at San Diego Christian College (NAIA) in El Cajon.

For the past 4 years, Todd has had the honor of being selected as one of 4 coaches in southern California to be a part of the SCVA HP Program. The High Performance Program is run by former two-time Olympian, and University of California Irvine Head Coach Paula Weishoff. The Southern California Select and Youth regional teams competed in the High Performance Championships in Tucson, AZ against other regional, international and USA Select teams across the nation.

Todd Also brings his speed and agility knowledge to his clubs. He has implemented plyometrics into his programs and has seen amazing results, both in performance and injury prevention. Trained by Mike Rangle (Misty May and Kerri Walsh's conditioning coach), he has helped his players/teams elevate their game to the next level.

According to Todd, his biggest accomplishment was when he married Tiffany, his wife of 18 years. They have two children, Brittany (18), and Brendan (13).

Welcome Coach O’Malley!
